There are many different qualities that can draw you into the RPG genre. The ability to change playstyle depending on who you want, interesting locations, and even an impressive storyline can all draw players in.
Whatever genre you fall into, you’ll need a weapon for your epic quest. Whether you’re in a far-off universe or in a harsh dungeon, RPGs have some strange weapons to choose from. A weapon that really makes you question how it got to the final stages of development.
10 K9000 (Fallout: New Vegas)
The desert plains of Fallout: New Vegas’s Mojave wasteland are strange enough, with Roboscorpions, Deathclaws, and people all doing Roman legionary cosplays wanting to throw you into a dusty tomb.
It seems almost normal to see strange weapons like the K9000. almost. The super-altitude heavy machine gun you find in Big Mountain’s lab, the super-altitude part comes from the fact that it has a dog’s brain controlling it. Cyberdog’s invention obviously had some offshoots, but thankfully you’re here to reap the rewards.
9 Ringed Finger (Elden Ring)

Elden Ring is a game like no other. The setting, story, and enemies are of a kind you don’t really see in other games. Of course, weapons are no different.
One such thing is perhaps the strangest thing in gaming. It is the ring finger. It appears to be a large purple finger wearing a series of rings. It’s technically a hammer. But only technically. Slamming and flicking your enemies with your giant magic fingers never seems to get old. Not to mention if you level up enough to start beating bosses with it.
8 Cosparasite (Bloodborne)
Bloodborne is a dark, gothic take on the Soulsborne genre. With many terrifying creatures and a creepy atmosphere, you’ll need a weapon to share the theme with.
Kos Parasite is such a weapon. No normal person would go anywhere near that, but Bloodborne’s world isn’t entirely normal. You’ll find yourself paying the price of turning your character into a slimy-looking creature with tentacles. You shoot parasites with your tentacles and gain the ability to whip creatures. But is it really worth it?
7 Chicken Knife (Final Fantasy)
The Final Fantasy series is often one that takes the RPG genre to extremes. Wacky dialogue, funny characters, and fairly commonly used tropes are all frequent in the game. Strange weapons also appear quite often.
The Chicken Knife is a mock weapon, the opposite of the Brave Blade, but deals massive damage. It has become such an integral joke in gaming that it appears in several games in the series and becomes a fan favorite weapon.
6 Keyblades (Kingdom Hearts)
The concept of an RPG mixed with Disney characters is certainly interesting. As Kingdom Hearts has shown, it has done well over the past few decades.
As if it couldn’t get any weirder, the protagonist’s primary weapon is a powerful keyblade. It doesn’t look sharp, but it holds the light of the world within it, and that’s a power you don’t want to ruin. It’s a wacky design, but it’s a design that’s loved by fans of the series all over the world.
5 Hair (Bayonetta)
Taking on demons, angels and everything in between in the Bayonetta series requires powerful and versatile weapons. No one expected that the weapon in question would be hair.
Sure, it’s kind of magical hair. Bayonetta is a witch and everything, but still. The amount of work she can do with her hair is pretty impressive. In her arsenal there are whips, swords, pistols and many other weapons. It makes for a fun concept, but no one is going to come along.
4 Tuna Sword (Phantasy Star Online)
There are many RPGs with a weird and wacky side. Weapons are no exception, especially in Phantasy Star Online.
Of the many weapons you discover on your adventures, none are more wacky than the tuna sword. This takes the word ‘swordfish’ to a whole new level. Wielded with both hands, this weapon isn’t lethal, but it can do a surprising amount of damage. The emotional damage done to the person you hit is far worse than the physical damage.
Magic in the Elder Scrolls series is varied and often powerful. The power given to you in Skyrim through Sheogorath’s Wabbajack is something else entirely.
If you don’t know what it’s going to do, it’s a valid weapon to use if you don’t mind. There’s a long list of different effects that Wabbajack can cast, from the very useful Disintegration spell to the not-so-helpful Summon Cheese spell. If you don’t mind a bit of randomness, this is the weapon for you, but it’s definitely one of the weirder ones.
2 Cooking Utensils (Yakuza: Like a Dragon)
The Yakuza series is one that often doesn’t take itself too seriously. This is doubled in Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
One of the many missions you can complete requires you to dress up as a chef. Also, if something goes wrong, you’ll have to fix it with the chef’s tools. A steak knife or cleaver would make a good weapon, but it pales in comparison to deadly tools like tongs and a stainless steel ladle. to see.

The Borderlands series is known for its humor and just plain weirdness. So in Borderlands 3, we really had to see how weird they could get.

It may seem like the American dream, but it’s far from a dream for those who receive this weapon, as the Gettleburger’s explosive hamburger projectiles can cook up an army of enemies in an instant.
